I had that problem during my first and second playthrough, but not during my third, master one. After I learned where everything was by visiting whatever I could in every level, it seemed a lot less big.

My list of things I did not liked much -Loading times, which kills the speed play (Way too long compared of Clock tower for example which is an older game) -Octopus costume, funny but ugly for Jen xD -Big bird Imp,even if we are close to it,we may miss him while attacking -Finding process with Brown, too tedious (always need to change item to find and there are many scattered around) -1st boss big attack glitchy range,it got difficult to beat him without being hurt Although, the worst thing for me was the loading time

Worst thing for me was the bird imps. I have the knight rapier finally but when I was trying to fend them off, Jennifer kept missing! But the birds didn't!

That's a special weapon right? You're not the first one to have problems with those weapons.
Bird imp can be defeated by using the single hit method, where you only use the first hit of a weapons combo. After hitting them, wait until they're back in full standing position and hit again. This actually works best for bird imps because they can't do those little jumping dodges.
Does that larger bird imp count as a boss? Well its exactly the same as the normal type so this trick works perfectly on it. I remember when I first fought it. It was impossible to hit without being hit back, because after an enemy goes into hitstun they become invincible to follow ups.

There are no bird imps you HAVE to fight, so I recommend just avoiding them all.

The parts where you had to fight were annoying.

Good thing the horrible glitches in this game go both ways.

Yeah they do. You're range is just as bad as theirs. I've hit enemies that weren't even in line with my weapon. Of course, they can do this too.
And there's the single strike trick that deals with any normal imp easily. This is also a huge glitch, but only exists because of another glitch, the fact that your follow up hits go through them.

I've played through this game over ten times, so I think I would know.

Maybe, but one thing RoR has showed me, is that every time you play any random stuff can happen. I've had some seriously strange glitches happen.
