Man, this thread died, as did the children. Let's pick it up again, shall we? I don't really like the thought of children getting killed, it's too sad, eventhough they were right foul gits. Also, there were quite a few kids inside the orphange, the boys too. So could he have killed each and every one of them? You'd think that some of them would start running while he's attacking the others.
Also, it showed the children at that age when Jennifer was younger, but when she goes back when she's 19 they're all that age. Were they all killed when she was young? Alot of things don't really make much sense.

Jennifer is somewhat "reliving" her childhood. They were all kids when they died, as was she a child when she witnessed it all. They probably did run, but the first reaction to something like that, especially to a child, would most likely be shock. Seems likely no one knew there was a threat until one of the kids got hurt, which would possibly have them frozen with fear and shock. Some of them probably aren't that fast, like Amanda and little Olivia. Even the ones that were, I could see Stray Dog being faster and easily cutting them off before they could get back indoors.

ah that makes alot of sense. So when you say Jennifer was reliving her childhood, was all of this in her mind? Did she completely go nuts? Did she even go to the orphanage? I never really thought about the kids being immobilized with fear. Alot of people disreguard that in horror movies, they'd be like "that idiot, why didn't you grab the chainsaw? Why didn't you hide under the bed?" yeah, it's hard to think when you're in a moment and your heart is racing.

We have threads in here somewhere for discussing what exactly her adventure was. Most accept that it was her reliving her forgotten past in a dream, but things were twisted and jumpled together, like the imps being real and the orphanage and airship becoming one place.
Back to their deaths...maybe Diana tripped and broke her anlke?^^;
Anything else you want to discuss involving their deaths?

Copy that in the thread titled "Missing Kids" in this same section. This is for a different group than that. People think that about the missing kids, not the orphans.

This thread is for how the orphans died.

Once again, I must say your theory makes sense to me, PrincessJennifer. It's supported by his behaviour in the final boss battle and the sounds you hear when the orphans are outside in that chapter.

The original post was about torn skin and head and all that right...? It seems to me Stray Dog wouldn't have have had so much time to do that to 6 girls. It was only the amount of time it took Jennifer to walk to the door right?

Diana's dress IS there. As to how they died, it is never really explained. It seems unlikely that he tore them up, as he is still a human with limitations, not the Incredible Hulk. Shooting them also seems doubtful, as it is Wendy who is revealed to have the gun, and there would not have been enough bullets. We do not hear any gunshots. And with such a gun, one would think that at least some of kids would have been able to get away. Besides, he was acting like a dog, so I can't picture him firing a gun like that. Breaking their necks seems a bit more likely, but would have involved him actually going after them one by one. Again, you'd think some of them would have gotten away. Plus, I don't think he had enough mental stability to take the time to do so. Here is my theory as to what most likely caused their death: Blunt force/trauma. While not strong enough to actually tear someone apart, there is no denying that Gregory is a strong man. I mean, just look at him. Plus he did a lot of work outdoors. Compared to the orphans, he was huge. It would have been easy for him to pick them up and slam them into the ground or beat them until death. A man that size hitting or throwing a child with a great amount of force could easily kill them or leave them dying.

This theory is somewhat supported by the fact that Eleanor died on the steps of the orphanage. Once she recovered her senses, she probably tried to run back inside but never made it. And most of the other orphans clothes are by the main gate, so they probably were killed before they recovered from their fear/shock or before they made it very far once they did.
