I've been trying to read the books in game over to see if i can pick up anything from them, maybe like a hidden message or something.
In the little princess book,it talks about the little girl(jennifer we think) and a princess of the red rose(looks like a doll),who was always with her,but vanishes after her parents die. during cutscenes,we see a doll that looks like the one in the story sitting on the chair at the alter next to bear multiple times
later in the game, after brown is offed, the doll has been replaced with wendy dressed up as the doll, and after jen and her get into it,we see the bear sitting alone...
Does anyone know what the doll might symbolize?Wendy perhaps? but she didn't know wendy when her parents were alive...

I've wondered this myself, but I don't have the answer either.

It's on my website, in the character profile for the Princess.^^
There were two people known as the "Princess of the Red Rose" in Jennifer's life-her doll and Wendy. She lost her memories of both, and they were among those jumbled together during her "journey", similiar to how the airship rooms resemble those at the orphanage. Jennifer did not remember the true identity of the princess, so she saw her as her doll of the same name. Basically, her messed up memory was trying to fill in the gaps.

I think the doll doesn't have any name or a name that Jennifer might have forgotten, so Jennifer's dreams is kinda twisted such that it shares the same name as the leader of the Aristocrat Club.

Since the storybooks represent her missing memories, I think The Princess of the Red Rose was her lost doll. It was still in her subconsious though, and possibly the source of Wendy's specific title.

I have a theory that perhaps the doll was actually there at the time and Jennifer didn't know Wendy was the princess until that moment in the cutscene. The other girls didn't seem to like Wendy that much, perhaps they were told to act that way so that Jennifer would feel that both her and Wendy were being left out by the aristocracy and therefore their friendship would be stronger as it would be more difficult for Wendy to be close to Jennifer if she was aware that Wendy was the reason she was ranked so low in the aristocracy.

I'm afraid it's impossible for the doll to have been there, since it's from her airship memories. As for Jennifer not knowing Wendy was the princess, that seems unlikely. It's more like she was in denial. Even though it was her close friend who was responsible for her suffering, she was not aware that she was actually encouraging the others to be mean to her. She was blinded by her love, up until the moment that Wendy's games led to Brown's death.

I don't understand why the other children spoke about Wendy like she was a lower rank than them though like when Amanda blames Wendy for taking the bear: ' ...I know who really took Joshua the bear. It's... umm... Wendy! She's always sick in bed! It's got to be her!' - that doesn't make any sense whatsoever seeing as the bear belonged to Wendy

I never really thought of that, how they treated her as lower, it was a big shock when Wendy turned out to be the princess.

That could also be the result of Jennifer's mind twisting things. Either Wendy lied and told Jennifer the others were picking on her to strengthen their bonds or Jennifer just preferred to convince herself her friend was just a victim like her.
