She chooses to have Brown tortured and killed , tho Brown would give his life for her, yes she`s young , but if she really loved him she would have given her life to save him. During the game she goes thru exercises to convince herself sha loves him, well she does as long as it is convenient to do so. What is happening in the game is that subconsciously she wants to recover her memories, but not to help Brown. SHe may commit suicide if she does not remember what happened , so to prevent herself from doing she must go thru the game (self-servind). When , after the children kill Brown ,she apparently only attacks Wendy and allow herself to be in the club ( hard to believe ) In the OUAT section she is friendly to Wendy ( the symbol of the fish seems to be the Christian symbol of God and thus forgiveness. Some things are above forgiveness discretiom is the better part of forgiveness. In the shed her entire attitude is of the I`m OK , you`re OK type, she wants to on with a smooth life free from the problems brought on by her repressed memories. She`s a pragmatist. Rather than be crushed by her memories of the dead Brown she is hardly affected. Tethering Brown and padlocking the door is a symbolic way to keep his memories safe, especially since she reconstructs the bucket knight . I believe the bucket knight speaks what she wants to believe of herself. The bucket knight is her and his presence in the shedis to keep her with Browm. When you realize that the bucket knight speaks for Jennifer`s subconscious througout the game you will realize that she is forgiving herself. Brown spent his last moments in terror and pain ( the dental tools in the attic indicate he was tortured. Jennifer did not turn on all involved during either the real events or the gameplay. An evaluation of ROR depend on how much you value dogs, I feel that if Brown , the real Brown , knew what she did to him and how she incorporated her recovered her new found memories into to her personlity he would no longer love her. Her actions and lack of remorse would make him say , "you betrayed me, I no longer love you and I don`t want you to remember me" True love is something you don`t have and never had for me.

1. Mark spoiler threads.
2. Make your posts easier to read.
3. Jennifer was a child, faced with letting the others kill her or sacrificing Brown. She was too afraid, as most people would be in such a situation, to stop them. She DID feel remorse for her actions, and that was part of the reason she beat up Wendy and finally stood up to the Aristocrats. And she even says she hates herself most of all, for not having the courage to do so earlier. A great deal of the game revolves around her remorse. If anything, Wendy is far more horrible than Jennifer.

Wendy is far worse than Jennifer. True Jennifer was a child at the time of the trajedy , but what happened was worse than negligence, some things cannot be forgiven, the pragmatic reaction she manifests at the end when she realizes what happened, is just her saving herself for a second time

No, it's not. And what did you expect her to do? She was a terrified little girl facing death! Her actions after realizing what she had allowed to happen were not for her-they were for Brown. It was seeing her dead friend that finally made her stand up to them.

Actually, I have to disagree with you, Neongen.
First because the dental tools in attic CAN be only product of jennifer's memories and remorses. She might thought there was torture and hence dental tools. I say that because every chapter, but the last one, aren't very reliable to find "real life" proofs, and not, jennifer point of view/thuoghts proofs. And since teh attic is locked up in the last chapter, we can't really see if there is dental tools or not. (Well, I know that January is only the good memories too, and even if the Attic was unlocked, I highly doubt it would be dental tools either, but... I still think it's the more reliable chapter to know the real truuth)
Second, she was a kid. kids does not have the strong sense of moral and are kind of selfish too. besides, she was an orphan kid, living in a twisted community of... mean children... she was so helpless that she was protected by her Bucket Knight on her mind. well, back on the topic, When a 8-10 years girl is given the option "You die or your dog", and she lived enough with these kids to know they were not kidding at all, obviously she would choose the dog over her. She was frightened, she was a kid, she was weak. Maybe superman would say "I choose me to be buried alive", but even grow up people would do the same option. I mean, she was a normal kid, not an heroine. I love my dog reaaaaally bad, I don't think I would live well if I've choose live instead of him... and so did jennifer, feeling remorse the way she did. And it's proved since the whole thread on RoR game IS this episode (mainly, I mean ^^).
I think I was not very clear, so, resuming: She was a just a normal kid, and you can't expect a normal kid to act like a hero. ^^

There is a topic somewhere where theories are given about the dental tools, most likely in a thread about the last chapter.
