I don't know if I'd be any nobler in the situation, personally.

I don't know if I'd be any nobler in the situation, personally. Not too many people would be much better than Amanda. Growing up in abuse by kids that are your own peers doesn't create a healthy individual.

Amanda was a double-faced person however, unlike most double-faced people she clearly showed both sides to Jennifer. When she was beating up a doll that looked like her and when she was all ga ga goo goo for her. 0.0 I wonder what Amanda's realy intention was.hmmmmm o.O

i think her real intention was to outrank jennifer and then play the benevolent royalty to the miserable underling - sort of like wendy in that she wanted jennifer to be her friend AND her minion, but when jennifer didn't fit into the tidy little fantasy roles they had for her, they both went nuts. albeit amanda's particular brand of psychotic, while much creepier due mostly to amanda as a person, was on a lesser scale than wendy's because amanda seemed better able to control her anger, ie. beating a doll in jennifer's likeness (she could possibly just as easily have beaten the real jennifer) as opposed to walking down to the gingerbread shelter to adopt an unhinged dogman.
...and yet amanda scares me so much more than wendy.

It's the grunts and pants and weird facial expressions.
Nothing about them is natural.

jajja I completely agree. Rule of Rose is just completely unnatural.... or is it? Perhaps I'll start one but since I am a guy I'll call it Rule of Rock.

I think Amanda just longed for acceptance from the other girls, to the point of being willing to do anything to make them like her.

I feel badly for Amanda-such a pitiful creature~
She really seemed to have some anger management problems.

She's not as sadistic as Wendy, and usually directs her anger towards her dolls and expressing her woes in her diary. The worst she had done was shoving the rat directly at Jennifer's face, but other than that she's a harmless person.

Amanda seems to vent her anger, while Wendy keeps it bottled up or hidden. We see Amanda beating up the doll and read her rather hostile diary, but nearly everything we see about Wendy makes her seem like an innocent little girl, up until you find your dog has been murdered, and even then, she is still acting innocent. We only see a hint of her anger during the Stray Dog battle, when she appears to sic him on Jennifer.
