Both Amanda's diary and apparently the chart in the classroom list a bunch of other orphans other than the group we know. Who do you think they could be?

Well they were either unimportant to Jennifer, thus they were never mentioned. Or they were adopted before or after Jennifer came to the orphanage.
I would like to think that maybe there were more boy's at the orphanage. Other than the like what three-four? That we know of.

They are mentioned in Amanda's diary after Jennifer has arrived though. It is possible that they were fellow members of the poor class who did not play an important role in her life, but it seems odd that they wouldn't even be in the old photograph. That photo was clearly an item Jennifer treasured and remembered clearly, since she see's the faces of all the orphans, including herself, in that picture at the beginning of the game, when her memories are still very fuzzy.

Children who got adopted later on?? / Which brings up the question -- does anyone ACTUALLY ever get out of that place?

adoption rates in the past were high for boys....since girls were seen as....less then helpful, where now-a-days people are adopting more girls then boys. So I do think that there was alot of boys in that orphanage, and more and more were leaving...this could be why the kids started the whole club thing...they wanted to feel important....and don`t forget, most of the members were girls

I heard a theory that they were names she maded up for the others, so if they read it they wouldn't know. There are more boys than girls in her list, so maybe she switched the genders.
