But that wouldn't make sense. She's reliving her twisted memories of the past. Yes but the past memory of Brown is dead, if she's reliving her past memories he wouldn't come back all matrix stile to save her. I understand the idea that she needed to be strong and she was when the princess was revealed. (she b*tch slapped the princess) and showed that she was fed up with being stepped on, so she would obviously become a more confident person.
So there would be no need for Brown. And thus I come to the conclusion that, that wasn't Brown.

Have you read through this whole thread? Because we address those things and explain them.

Browns dramatic return never seemed confusing to me. I always saw him as her guide through her memory revival. My understanding is that adult Jennifer’s journey starts when the nap in the aromatic rose garden triggers her memories, and then Brown appears and helps show her the way. It’s his role in gameplay and the story. The first event he shows her is her promise to Wendy, the first broken promise. And then the dark shadow of the airship engulfs her completely into her dark past.
So it stood to reason that when reliving her most terrifying memory she needed him most, and he appeared. (Not that I’m saying Brown is more then a figment of her dream, just that as she was so emotionally bound to Brown he’s the one her mind chooses as her guardian/guide.)

I agree about him being her guide, but I don't think that is the reason why he returned, since this game is big on symbolism. And if we all try and imagine how a small child would react in such a situation-all your friends murdered and you about to be next,-it stands to reason that she was scared, especially when you consider that even though she swore to be brave, she was still accustomed to being a scared, timid child.

I don’t blame her, when I realised I was going to have to fight a stocky farmer acting like a crazed dog I was pretty freaked out too. But it just didn’t seem strange to me. I guess I was so happy to see him back in the game I never questioned it.
