That storybook is rather confusing. What do you guys think it means?

Hmm....I think it's an obvious dig at Amanda, but I don't quite remember the story book.... Yeah....Amanda and Jennifer. About how the girls keep teasing her about joining the Aristocrat Club but never truly let her in. So she has to be friends with Jen.

I'm certain the Rag Princess is Amanda, and the higher girls are the ones who won't let her come into the ball, meaning, they won't let her join them. Can someone post the text from the story here?

"Once upon a time, there was a girl who sewed rags, day in, day out. The stench of the rags seeped into her clothes. Her stepsisters wore beautiful dresses and went to the ball. The girl stayed at home and her jealousy festered. One day, a fairy godmother came, cast a spell on the girl, and said, "Sew yourself an ash-grew dress. Then, you can go to the ball like your stepsisters!" The girl patched together the sooty rags, and that's how she became the Rag Princess. A very stinky Princess indeed. She stunk up the whole town, in fact. No girl who stunk so would be allowed into the ball. I'll make that girl wear this awful dress myself! And thus, the Rag Princess and the girl in the rag dress became play pals."
From your site, I think.

Okay, it was the ending that always confused me. Let's see...
Amanda is clearly the Rag Princess, and the Stepsisters are the girls who are much higher than her in rank. The ball would seem to be the Aristocracy, which she longed to be accepted into. She seems to have done something in an attempt to be accepted, but they still would not, so she did something to assure Jennifer would not be accepted either, so they could be "friends"?

Judging by the events in that chapter, Amanda possibly stole Joshua to somehow gain acceptance, but once she realized that she would get in trouble, she let Jennifer have the bear and tells Diana she's the one who stole it.

And that's basically the cause for things to go downhill from there. Damn Amanda.
