I expected I'd have to find the keys get to the backyard and kill all the imps , except the ones that always regenerate to get to another part of the game.
Now the imps. The game states at the end that J ralizes that the imps came to the orphanage due to her "weakness ". HOW DOES SHE SENSE THAT? How are the imps tied to the disappearences of the adults at the orphanage? If J is "responsible" for them, why have them only kill the adults? Is Stray Dog connected to the imps' actions? Seems not. In the inner courtyard, the imps disappear after J gets the Funeral book. Why? There can still be a "bad" ending(the one in which J kills the large man), so why would the imps, if they are a projection of J in any way, go away if she may not learn anything? Meg knows a lot about the imps, as there is an entry in her notebook about them. WHAT IS GOING ON?
Now about the symbols, on the calender and elsewhere, they must have something to do with the crash, and I recall that the game tells J to go to the 1st floor bathroom in relation to something about them. But aside from the symbols being on the stall doors and floor, not a thing is made of them. I thought they were conncted to the imps. SEEMS SOMETHING IS MISSING HERE.

I would advise you to slow down. Wait for some of your questions to be answered before asking more.^^;

Don't know about the symbols, but we have discussed the imps. They represent Jennifer's past and are symbols. To keep the kids in line and make them do their chores, the headmaster made up the imps. Jennifer thought they were real as a kid, so in her jumbled-up memory world, they actually are real.

Sorry, but not a one of my questions has been answered here (yet) they are all major corcerns and again indicate that THIS GAME WAS RELEASED UNFINISHED If nobody here can give a reasonable explanation for the events I`ve enumerated in this post and others ( in I believe in a clear , accurate form ) I have to believe that ROR was released UNFINISHED . With all due respect the responces to my first post just blew off all my problems with the game as unimportant. I`ve played many horror games , everything from Matian Gothic to Cold Fear, from Echo Night to Nightmare Creatures 2 , from Castlevania to Clock Tower and I`ve never seen anything like ROR`s introduction of useless information and items and have this blown off by posters. This game was released unfinished SD

My realization that the game is largely a distorted memory explains a lot. One thing about the imps : Jennifer could not clear them out of the orphanage until she talks to Wendy then they vanished. The funeral allows J to "learn" what she did in the past ( she does not make a decision to kill Brown in the game ) and supossedly "grow stronger" why do the imps disappear when they do ? I now understand the story much better, but I do not have any different opinion of the poor game construction ( useless items mostly ) and I still believre that the game ending supports my view of a new time line. I`d like to have you knock it down. One other concern : in the secret room there is what appears to be a wreath/collar and a boarding pass that J cannot pick up or read, these items also appear in the attic when J is looking for Brown, two chairs are behind these items. What is this about ?

The stuff in the room is just that-stuff. Nothing more or less.
I think the imps disappear after Brown's death because Jennifer finally realizes that the imps were no more real than her delusions than Wendy was perfectly innocent. Just like as a child, the death of her beloved friends makes her realise how foolish and cowardly she had been, and what these weaknesses had cost her.

Look. If you want to post here, then you need to post. Stop telling me to look at other posts or other forums. Post what you mean in a single thread and stop answering in other threads. It's getting on my nerves.
