Did anyone else notice that the drawer is missing entirely during "The Funeral" chapter? Really? Could this be another symbolism? Are the developers trying to tell us sth about Clara? This is my wild thinking: since Clara doesn't allow Jennifer to open the drawer nor can Jennifer interact with it at all at the last chapter, the removal of the drawer could symbolise the revelation of what could have happened to Clara at that time. If I were to assume most things kept in the drawers/lockers are letters/diaries, then most probably they correspond to what could be in Clara's drawer: her accounts of her duties/events, but most importantly the one she wants to hide from anyone else has finally been disclosed. But that would also mean Hoffman is guilty of committing sexual offences.

That might not be it, and remember, it was still there in the chapter prior.

I don't think it could just be a glitch...

That would seem kind of strange...Maybe the drawer is elsewhere?

Jennifer telling herself not to open the drawer at the beginning, then it disappeared, but reappeared when she recollects everything, what does it all mean? Maybe her dream is too twisted to remember things as they are exactly placed in the rooms.

But she seems to remember everything else, and the drawer is still there in all the other chapters...It might be symbollic somehow...

Eh, I like the idea that the drawer symbolizes something like her memory. Clara stops her almost like your brain does with selective memory; it'll allow you to recall anything around a certain memory, but shut you down right before you can get to. Clara had a role of sort over seeing the other children, right? Maybe Jennifer's brain was using her image as a sort of physical manifestation of her mind's self defense mechanism.
It's lack of presence in the final chapter might mean that she's nothing left to remember, that her brain doesn't see how what was in the drawer could be any more damaging.

But it is not the final chapter it is missing in-it's The Funeral chapter.

Jennifer was pretty scared of her drawer (remember the first time she retorted when attempting to open it?) so much so that it disappeared during Hoffman's purported sexual advances towards Clara. She must have cleared it off her memory. What I think is that she could have opened it (most probably to read something) but wishes to forget any sort of details. That's why even though Clara's drawer was present in the last chapter, the one filled with happy memories, Jennifer did not want to explain about it. Same as the attic that was locked and cannot be interacted.

I just don't think so, though. I'm still believing that said advances never happened. There really must be some way to open that drawer, and I swear, I will find it! Maybe all the characters have hidden diaries, and hers is in there! Amanda and Gregory both have one. And Hoffman does too, sort of.
