I think it was all just Jennifer exagerating what she saw. To a child, even something perfectly innocent can seem scary if viewed in the right way. I think Hoffman and Clara got along, but all Jen saw was Clara acting "scary" when with the adults. If Clara feared him, why would she want to stay on after turning eighteen?

Maybe she felt she had no where else to go

There is nothing to even suggest that. She seemed pretty eager to stay on.

How do we know? The only evidence that she wanted to stay is in Hoffman's journal when he says that she asked to stay on, which I believe is also the time where he talks about how grownup she is. Maybe the molestation happened after that... but regardless, we don't know if she was excited about staying on or whether she was just accepting her lot in life.

-.-; The whole point of that journal was to show us how Jennifer overexagerated certain incidents in her mind. It showed her the reality of the terrors she faced during her journey to overcome her memories.

I do like the theory that maybe Clara did have a secret diary in the drawer. It would make sense because that is the room that she hung out in.

But it's really not even possible.-.-; -The table Clara cleans is just your standard examination table, and nearly all pediatricians have one. I just wanted to clarify this point. The exam table in the Sickbay has stirrups on it like one would find in a gynecological office for exams. I have a picture of it that I took today while replaying the game, but am unsure if I can post it here or how to do so. Also, the bed in the sickbay seems to have blood on it as well.

Well, there's certainly no blood, and those really look nothing like stirrups.

Then what would you propose that they are? They aren't there for no reason. They are slightly higher than the bed, in the place where they would need to be to be stirrups.
The bed with blood isn't actually the gyno table but the one against the wall to the right.

There is no blood, and those do not even look remotely like stirrups.-.-;

Then what is an alternate theory? The game designers put them in the game for a reason. If they wanted it to look like a normal bed, it would be a normal bed.
